When Jason and Penny Dacey first started Mediscrubs in 2007, it was a side hustle run from the kitchen table. Today, it has grown into one of Australia’s leading providers of medical uniforms — supplying scrubs to individual healthcare workers, large enterprises, and even universities.
But with growth came new challenges. Managing 25,000+ SKUs, meeting the needs of enterprise clients, and keeping up with the fast pace of online sales demanded more than their old WordPress setup could handle. Plugins broke, pages loaded slowly, and handling custom embroidery orders became almost impossible.
The Mediscrubs team knew they needed an ecommerce solution that could scale with them — and that’s where Maropost came in.
From kitchen table to enterprise-ready
In 2022, Mediscrubs migrated to Neto by Maropost. Neto’s flexibility enabled Mediscrubs to deliver features competitors couldn’t, like a fully interactive embroidery tool where customers can upload logos and preview designs in real time.
To take it further, Mediscrubs worked with Otus Technologies, a Maropost partner, to customise Neto extensively. Together they built private B2B portals and streamlined complex workflows that previously required manual effort.

Scaling B2B with private portals
One of the biggest breakthroughs has been the use of Neto by Maropost to build private, branded portals for enterprise clients such as Bupa and Southern Cross University.
For Southern Cross University alone, Mediscrubs onboarded 4,500 students through a dedicated portal for clinical placement uniforms. This type of enterprise acquisition would have taken years through traditional D2C marketing.

Driving revenue with Marketing Cloud
Mediscrubs also shifted its marketing from Klaviyo and Mailchimp to Maropost Marketing Cloud, which gave the team direct access to ecommerce data for smarter campaigns.

- CTR: ~15.8%
